Most "Tally on mobile" apps copy your books to their cloud and show you reports. AnkanaGo runs on the shop PC beside Tally Prime and turns every phone into a billing counter: bills, receipts, stock and WhatsApp, posted straight into Tally.

Two kinds of "Tally on mobile"
Both are honest products. They solve different problems.
Connector apps (Biz Analyst, Livekeeping)
- Sync your Tally data to the vendor's cloud and show it in a phone app: dashboards, ledgers, outstanding, reports.
- Some plans let you create vouchers that sync back to Tally.
- Work even when the shop PC is off, because the cloud holds a copy.
- Priced per mobile device or per plan; WhatsApp sharing is by hand or through paid credits.
AnkanaGo
- A web page served by your own shop PC (yourshop.ankanago.com through a Cloudflare Tunnel). No app store, no cloud copy of your books.
- Every bill, receipt, payment and purchase posts straight into Tally Prime and prints on the shop printer.
- Bills and statements go out on the shop's own WhatsApp number, free per message.
- Needs the shop PC on, like Tally itself. A small UPS covers power cuts.
What you do from the phone
Bills in bags and kgs
Pick the item, type bags or kgs, save. Posted to Tally, printed, PDF on WhatsApp, one tap.
Receipts, payments, journal
Every voucher from the phone, PIN-confirmed. Tally off? They queue and post when it is back.
Udhaar and statements
Any party's outstanding on the phone; the account statement as a PDF on WhatsApp, on demand or on schedule.
Payment screenshot → receipt
Customers send UPI screenshots; OCR reads them into receipts. Anything unsure waits for the owner's approval.
Stock on the phone
Closing stock as in Tally, in bags and kgs. No walk to the godown when a customer asks.
Purchase from a photo
Snap the supplier bill. Items and amounts are read for you; approve, and the purchase voucher goes into Tally.
e-Way bill without a GSP
The portal's bulk JSON comes straight off the bill. Paste the number back and it prints on the bill and the WhatsApp copy.
Back-dated bills
Enter yesterday's bill today without shifting a single serial number.
Day Book and hamali pay
End of day, the Day Book prints double-sided; hamali day pay is recorded in one tap.
What you need, and what it does not do yet
You need
- A Windows PC in the shop with Tally Prime and your company open.
- Internet at the shop (any connection; nothing to change on the router).
- The shop's WhatsApp number on a phone, to scan the QR once.
- Any phones or iPads for billing: 2 devices and 2 users are included, more at ₹999 a year each.
Not yet
- Tally.ERP 9 is not supported; Tally Prime only.
- The shop PC must run Windows; the phones can be anything.
- e-Invoices (IRN) are not generated. e-Way bills are, through the portal's bulk JSON, without a GSP.
- No cloud copy of your books, by design: when the shop PC is off, the phone cannot bill.

Questions about Tally on a phone
Is there an app to install on the phone?
No. Open the shop's address (yourshop.ankanago.com) in the phone's browser and add it to the home screen; it opens like an app. Nothing to download from an app store, nothing to update on the phone.
Does it work on iPhone and iPad?
Yes. Any current phone or tablet browser works: Safari on iPhone and iPad, Chrome on Android. Sign in with a PIN, or with Face ID or fingerprint on a registered device.
Does the phone have to be in the shop?
No. Anywhere with internet reaches the shop PC through its ankanago.com address. On the shop Wi-Fi the phone also works through the local address when the internet is down; the shop PC itself must be on, since Tally lives there.
